What multithreaded download technologies do you know?

On ftp (there is also http access) there is a file of 36 gigs in size. There is a download limit for 1 Ip - 10 megabits.
Theoretically, I can find 10 people, or raise 10 VPS.
The question is how to parallelize the jump, that is, so that everyone downloads their part and then exchanges with others.

There is such a header "Range: offset-N" the server will read and give exactly N bytes by offset
and you can glue dd later =)
