What monitors to choose for the layout designer on a macbook?

I am engaged in layout, design, programming. At home I work on a MacBook Retina 13.
At first I wanted to choose one monitor 23-24 inches for home, then I decided that 2 monitors 20-21 inches would cost the same, but it would be much more convenient to work (at work now there are 3 monitors, 2 to 21, and one 24).
Advise, please, good monitors?

Two monitors 23-24 inches. You don't have to skimp on your convenience. Spend it once, but you will save a lot of nerves on this. And be sure to buy two identical monitors

I would take one at 26-27 with QHD resolution. 24 inches for QHD is too small, and FullHD pixels are noticeable, especially after retina. I myself use a Dell P2416D with a macbook, but I had to work hard with scaling so that it displays the size of the elements as at a resolution of 2048x1152, with a picture with a resolution of 2560x1440. On a Mac, retina scaling only works for 4K monitors and above. You can also look in the direction of widescreen 21:9 monitors, which is also quite an excellent option for work.
If you choose only from the options that you suggested, I would take two of 21.

It seems that it is possible somehow through position: absolute at the yellow strip.
And put a green indent on top
