What modern solutions in the unix world are there now to account for and limit traffic in organizations?

Hello! Who knows what modern solutions to restrict and account for traffic on the gateway? A proxy server is a good thing, but there are a lot of inconveniences. Log analysis systems also didn't make it out of the mid-2000s. And the widespread introduction of ssl does not add optimism either. I would like to analyze traffic in the Linux-Mikrotik bundle. Mikrot as a gateway, Linux (although Win is also possible, but we all know why less) as a assembler and GUI. Yes I know. that you can collect statistics from a microt, but there will be IPs, but I would like to get information at the URL level too.
Maybe I missed something interesting? The question is not critical, but I want to know the opinion of the community.

Yes, you know the world of UNIX somehow, put it on "fashionable-stylish-youthful" and does not worry at all about proxies or log analysis systems :)
Moreover, nothing else has yet been invented to account for and limit traffic, especially , if you need accounting (and a report!) for urls.
Only proxies with bumping and statistics :)
Of course there are inconveniences - for example, not everything works through a proxy. But here it’s either checkers, or go ...
