What memory to choose for a poppy?
Right now I have 8 GB and need more I think... MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012) .
My system eats about 4 GB (when all programs are closed) and almost 8 GB (when Mail, Safari, Skype are open). It seems to me that this consumption is excessive, but, having searched, I did not find a working way to reduce it (I would be glad if you tell me).
I want to edit video in Final Cut Pro, but it eats more than 3 GB - so I have to increase the RAM.
Tell me a few points, please:
1) How much maximum memory does my computer support (only 8 GB or 16 GB)?
2) What is the best way to look for it on eBay (for example), what to print? "PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 MHz type RAM" or what?
3) What specific memory would you recommend (manufacturer, model)?
PS- I looked at the manual ( support.apple.com/kb/HT1270?viewlocale=en_US&local... ), but I didn't understand something...

It's not clear to me - in total, two strips should be no more than 8 GB, or can each be 8 GB each (total - 16 GB)?
