What math books should you read?

It is necessary to study AI, books are preferably in Russian, because I speak English at the school level.
Is there a similar book https://www.amazon.com/Mathematics-Short-Introduct... in Russian, which will also explain the principles themselves, and not a set of rules.

I don’t know how modern, how abstract mathematical books are and from what area you need, so my answer will be one-sided: everything listed for the most part refers to statistics, however, in AI (and in everything that is called AI), formal logic is also used, and fuzzy logic, and finite automata, and formal grammars, and all this at the same time, mixed up. I don't think I've listed at least half.
To freshen up university statistics, you can Written - Lecture Notes on Probability Theory. Everything is superficially stated, but it is very simple and concise. Having it at hand, it is convenient to climb into the jungle.
In order to master non-parametric statistics, Tarasenko - Non-parametric statistics.According to the usual statistics, I can not recommend anything.
For the theory of pattern recognition, one can take Fukunaga - An Introduction to the Statistical Theory of Pattern Recognition and Tu, Gonzalez - Principles of Pattern Recognition . They themselves refer to Nielson's book Nielson - Learning Machines. He (Nilson) also has the Principles of Artificial Intelligence , and it talks about AI production systems based on formal logic.
Of modern books, many recommend Russell, Norvig - Artificial Intelligence, a modern approach. Everything is collected there, from different areas, so the Talmud turned out to be large, as much as 1500 pages.
I'm sure my answer can be improved.
