What mat. model can be matched to the topic?

I am writing my diploma. By the beginning of writing the diploma, we were convinced that the mat. the model is not required, but the other day it was suddenly announced that everyone should have it ... And if some students have a mat. models are obvious, then in my case I shrug.
The essence of my program:
The program keeps track of all the SQL queries that the application sends to the server (something like mysql proxy) and displays query plans, memory, time, etc.
Please tell me which mat. the model can be "attached" to my program.
Thanks in advance for advice!

M.b. something about the time of processing a request, building a plan, calculating statistics. How many requests / sec can be processed on some hardware, channel to the statistics server, etc.

Well, since you are working with SQL, relational algebra immediately comes to mind.
But in my experience, the theme with the mat model for the diploma is 3.14 here, sorry. Write a working program that will actually be used somewhere, bring the act of implementation, show its commission, 5 is guaranteed.
