Here is an example of a question where Ronald McDonald has already answered. Too lazy to look for more places.
I agree with Ronald. Books and literature on CCNA.
I myself went a little further and took courses in the "Specialist" (not advertising) again in preparation for the CCNA.
And then just experience. In one place, I dealt exclusively with networks and workstations. Now the functionality of a small department hangs on me (network, domain, servers, stations, video surveillance, VoIP, website, etc.) And I have to learn a lot from scratch. Google to the rescue. But networks (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, l2tp, IPsec, WIFI) Windows and the basics of niks are the first thing that comes in handy.

Google. And the ability to use the search on the toaster. This question has been answered a hundred thousand million times.

Without practice, all your reading is useless almost completely. Start with networks. Set up routers, virtual machines. And the basics of Linux.
