What laptop to take for video editing under Linux?

I have a laptop for 13 thousand and for 18 - which is 6 years old.
for 13 it works faster with ubuntu - but the videos shot on the camera there all ranvo do not slow down in all video players, including the video player, vnc, smplayer,
we are simply not talking about editing.
tell me what to choose and how much it will cost for a budget option for editing video on a new laptop?

Forget about it, a laptop is a laptop, they won’t surpass desktops in this regard. I assume that the installation is linear, since I have not seen other tools under ubuntu. Even so, I advise you to look at another axis with edob solutions.

For Linux xs, but if you do something above the level of "blinded somehow on the knee and xs why", you need Windows or osx. Under Windows, at least 16 gigabytes of RAM is highly desirable. 8 is really not enough... (and if you take, for example, Davinci resolve, it may not start at all) and in general, there are no budget laptop options for a somewhat comfortable installation in the same after/premiere.
In general, if you need a laptop in order to sometimes dazzle something from home video, take the most powerful one for the money that you have. If you want to make money, then take a stationary one, a somewhat comfortable laptop for installation now from 50 tr, if not more (+ some for memory, because it’s more profitable to take a laptop with 8 gigs and add up to 16, than to take immediately from 16) .

Linux, unfortunately, is not the best platform for video editing, all normal software is made for win or mac.
If you want to work normally with video on a laptop, then either take a good and expensive one or look towards software that is unassuming to hardware, like Edius.

What kind of nonsense about the fact that under Linux there is no solution?
What about Davinci Resolve? The best dye.
By the way, initially the program was only for Linux.
The problem is not in the program. The question is "how". Very little useful literature on color. Rather, there are a lot of books, but everything is either about how to use the tools, or about some ridiculous contrast enhancement / bringing lights and shadows to the ceiling and fields in the waveform. so that their values touch zero and 1023 mv.
even on paid courses nothing at all.
Get a program, even the latest one, and hardware that will be mega-super-duper - this is one percent of everything.

intel core i5 and higher, min 8Gb RAM, SSD for the system and temporary rendering files, HDD for finished videos. Video editor Kdenlive works without problems.
