What language should I switch to after Pascal?

I used to write in PHP, but eventually got tired of it. I mastered PascalABC.Net syntax in two days. Very comfortably. At first I wrote programs with output to the command line, then I drew circles in windows, animations, and so on. I think that I already knew Pascal. Where to go next? What is promising now? In the future, to strengthen my knowledge, I plan to freelance a little using the language that you suggest.
PS: It is desirable that I do not die of hunger at the time when I will be freelancing.

I think that I already knew Pascal.

You have learned the basics and are already in a hurry to move on to the next language. Only here is the problem - knowing the basics, it is very difficult to write something serious. You need to delve into technologies and frameworks, which is usually what the lion's share of time is spent on when studying PL.
Well, about freelancing - css + html + JS + PHP will feed you quite well.

Since you have worked with PHP, I think you have experience with HTML and CSS, so I advise you to choose one of the back languages (Java, C # + ASP.NET, Ruby) and plus JavaScript. You can search for books here.
