What language are 3D design and simulation programs written in?

Good afternoon, I have no programming experience, at the moment I use c#.
Using vs I see that it is possible to make an adequate program for drawing in 2D, but from the side of 3D models everything looks very vague and almost unrealistic.
1) Tell me in what language are programs written for 3D design, 3D analysis and simulation, fluid leakage, lattice loading and what underlies these software giants?
2) Are there open source projects on these topics?
I understand that these creations have been made by a group of professionals over the years, but still I would like to look into this area a little.
