What knowledge base and programming level should be in order to get a job?

I looked at vacancies, but all employers have different requirements, both in terms of languages and general knowledge. So the question is - which programming language you need to learn first of all (just for training and further employment) and what knowledge you need to have in order to open it completely and be an excellent programmer. Interested in web programming languages.
ps Books also advise good ones, I will be grateful
pps Some will write - "program and program again!" but what to program then?
ppps Finding a mentor will not work ...

@froofi

undoubtedly the best choice for a beginner - js
is an order of magnitude easier than everything else,
you can make websites and mobile applications
and even program microcontrollers,
but in order to get a job you still have to know a lot of things except languages,
because everyone works according to a template - so that programmers can be easily replaced
and these there are many different templates and they are constantly changing
and there is a lot of competition
; another way is to be an independent independent developer and write the code yourself as you like
