What kind of password might OS X require when trying to restore the system?

Tell me, what kind of password can OS X require when trying to restore the system?
I had FileVault enabled, disabled the function - it still requires it. Tried all possible passwords - nothing works.
The screen is just a form with one input field.

apparently once dabbled with "lock the computer" through findmymac, entered a 4-digit password - everything opened
