Can you please tell me what is the name of this type of ad unit in Google AdSense? I spent half a day in the settings, but I could not find it.

This is a regular block - "Text and display ads" Depending on the settings, both text and media, or only text can be shown.
In your screenshot, in particular, you can see an optimized text ad.
Allow and block -> all my sites -> Show ads
