What is the risk of disabling the CONFIG_MODULE_SIG kernel option?
On the machine, a card that runs on broatcom-sta , the driver was installed but the network does not rise, it says in dmes that module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing - tainting kernel . I understand that it is not signed and therefore the kernel does not stick it, so what happens if I turn off the signature check in the kernel?
Would that be a bad word for the operation of the system as a whole?

The signature is for security, so that nothing left is stuck in the kernel, if you remove the signature on the idea of \u200b\u200ba terrible, nothing will happen, but a security hole will open, should not affect the speed of work https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24975377/kvm -m...
