What is the REAL reliability and speed of educational WordPress themes?

Viewed "rated" educational themes on themeforest. Let's say you liked Eduma. Three-five-year-old reviews directly scream about buggy, slowness and worthless support. I understand that at first it could be raw, but then it was finished. But, the thought of wound reviews does not leave.
I'm confused, at first glance, it's impossible to use normally.

Does anyone have experience, is it possible to quickly create something intelligible and working for several courses on such a bundle? Does anyone even use wordpress themes on educational work sites?
