What is the purpose of implicitly extracted optionals in the Swift language?

They are needed in the case when you know that after setting the value of the optional, it will definitely always exist until it is destroyed. Apps say that, for example, when you initialize a class, you can use implicitly unwrapped optionals. It's just an alternative to if-let extraction in code.
