What is the program for automatic recognition of dashes from hyphenation?
I was sent a book made up in word 15 years ago for translation into an e-book. In the document, the author himself placed word hyphens in the text, so that it is impossible to visually distinguish them from dashes. You can’t leave hyphens, as there will be word breaks, and deleting all “-” - we risk getting “NaroForminsk” instead of “Naro-Fominsk”.
What editors are there that automatically recognize that this is a hyphen and not a dash?

Alternatively, in PHP using phpword to read and catch "-" before a line break using a regular expression.
Sorry, I understand that the question is no longer relevant, but if someone like me wanders here:
1 they don’t put a space before the transfer
2 after the transfer there is a line break,
respectively, regular expressions even in notepad ++ can solve this. However, "search and replace" is also in the Word, and there you don't even need to know the control characters - they are selected from the list. And also there are macros for editing such texts, both for Word and for Open / Libreoffice
