What is the problem when connecting a modem to a wi-fi module on Openwrt?
Guys, please help me connect the quectel uc20 modem to the hlk rt 5030 wi-fi board.
I do everything according to this instruction,
but I can’t figure out which USB port it is connected to. In the console, the connection looks like this:

If you look in the download section of the uc20 link above, you will find Quectel_UC20_Embedded_Linux_USB_Driver_User_Guide_V1.0.pdf. Which describes how you should patch the usb -serial driver, and enable its support in the desktop linux kernel accordingly. For openwrt, you need to install the kmod-usb-core packages (its download is not visible in the listing above), kmod-usb-serial, kmod-usb-serial-option, kmod-usb-serial-wwan. Show the listing cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices. It is possible to prescribe usbserial vendor=0x05c6 product=0x9003 to the module load, it is possible to deliver something else like kmod-usb-acm or kmod-usb-serial* depending on the uc20 kernel. lsusb is included in the usbutils package. Maybe the symlinks just don't show up. It would not hurt to check whether new network interfaces have appeared, the modem has an ndis mode.
