What is the optimal cpu temperature?

HWMonitor shows two temperature indicators: the sensor on the CPU as the temperature of the processor on the socket and there is an indicator separately in the category of CPU packages. On the Internet, I read that the CPU temperature on the socket is not more than 77, but there is nothing about the temperature limits on packages. Connoisseurs figured out that packages are the temperature in the CPU cores.
Of course, the temperatures differ significantly: now, for example, the CPU socket is 32 degrees, and the core is 47.
So far, the maximum recorded on the socket was 47 degrees, in the cores 88.
Moreover, I noticed that the temperature on the socket is less variable over time than the core one: jumps there are more temperatures in the cores and in a short time of 1-2 seconds it can change by + -1-3 degrees.
What temperature should be in the cores so that silicon does not get sick?

@doubledare

look at the specs on your cpu.

It's a lot. I advise you to change the cooling system to a more efficient one.
Also, in addition to the spec (as DevMan said ), I also advise you to read the architecture of your processor, production technology and understand it in more detail if you are interested.

At Intel, for most processes, the maximum temperature in the center of the heat-distributing cover is 100 degrees, on the cores, respectively, more. If the temperature is higher, the processor will start throttling.
