For a whole hour I can not remember the correct name of the mechanism that limits the transition of an object from one state to another. That is, for example, an order may have the status new, processed, confirmed, delivered. And the mechanism is a table (matrix), which indicates from which status an order can go to which, and how it cannot.
It was the name of this approach / mechanism that flew out of my head, and Google could not help ...
