What is the most promising direction?

Until now, I was involved in php\js\all frontend as a whole. I first met this terrible thing 6 years ago. And just today I thought about where to go next. PHP is not a promising business - I decided to myself and thought to look for a new way of creations. I like PHP, because it is simple, but staying on it is a disastrous business. I stand in the way of choosing a future career and all the way. After all, I need to decide which program to study, I will enter Vysoké učení technické v Brně. Help me choose my life path and career. Please no stones in the garden

What's interesting is what you do.

Purely personal opinion:
I've been looking for an answer to this question for a year now, learning JAVA and Ruby. In the end, I realized that during this time I could learn PHP much more and write code much easier and more understandable. I would have changed my job to a better paying one. Although I do not regret learning these languages, they gave me a lot.
By the way, what is the purpose? Do you want to realize your own idea or start earning more? After all, languages solve problems, and the employer (or you yourself) sets the tasks. From here it is worth dancing, look at vacancies in your city, look where you would like or could move. Look at what you want to implement and what technologies it will pull up. The answer is always there.
In my case, at work I work with PHP, but to implement my own idea, I need more web sockets and frontend. In this regard, I liked voltframework . Now I'm looking at the meteor . Javascript is also a good option, especially if you look at coffeescript a bit. And knowing javascript - you can find a lot of remote work with the frontend.
Good luck to everyone in the search))

As I understand it, you are going to continue to occupy the frontend. In this case, JS is quite promising. If you look hard into the future, it seems that mobile development will continue to gain momentum, then you should think about Java or Swift

In institutes, there is usually no division into programming languages. As a rule, there is a division into system programming, applied mathematics, software engineering, etc. At the institute, you will most likely study a little of everything, i.e. C++, C#, Java, SQL may also affect mobile development.
Learn the main basics well - algorithms and data structures, then combinatorics will no longer be so important in which language to write.

Decide for yourself, because it is you who will write code on this in the future.

Попробуйте пройти пару коротких курсов. Начать можно вот с этого. В процессе поймете, что нравится, а что нет.
