What is the most convenient engine/framework for developing 2D games?

What engine is more convenient and pleasant to write 2D games? I consider as options: PyGame, Kivy, LÖVE2D, Corona SDK. In the future, having gained some experience, I want to switch to Unreal Engine 4, but before that I need to learn C ++ and understand how GUI games work (I mean not in the terminal), as well as pull up linal and the rest of the theory. So now I want to develop on what I know - Python, Lua. Yes, maybe I don’t know them perfectly, but I managed to develop something on them, one trash in the terminal, but it’s at least something.

Personally, I would immediately start with crosses and anrial engine - why waste time? Anyway, many decisions will have to be retrained from 2d to 3d, plus different languages - not everything is as consistent as it will be in your story.

Check out Corona and Defold first, they have different approaches but both are pretty easy to learn and use.
In parallel, you can study C ++ and see what is more convenient for you there.

Try GameMaker Studio 2.
Pretty easy to learn from video tutorials.
