What is the lower limit of processors supported by Win8.1?
There is a fleet of machines like Pentium Dual-Core, 4GB DDR2, G31 chipset. There is also Core2Duo. Now there is Win7, I would like to put an SSD and extend the life for another couple of years.
For Win10, there is a document where unsupported kernels are listed:
https://www.intel.ru/content/www/ru/ru/support/art...
There is just the Wolfdale kernel in the list of unsupported ones. Actually, we made sure ourselves: the installer does not even show the logo, it immediately crashes into a black screen with a cursor (and could at least say something for decency)
And what about Win8.1? What is the lower limit of processors?
For the installer shows the logo and crashes into a black screen.
