What is the fastest Linux distribution for Docker?

Worked on Ubuntu 18 (simple React project).
After an hour of work, the compilation speed noticeably sank and the RAM was fiercely devoured (I have 4GB), I decided to try to compile the same project on Windows 10. Everything compiles about 40% faster, and the RAM does not disappear into nowhere.
Please tell me the fastest and most economical Linux distribution to write front-end using Docker. Because on Windows 10, a new docker project cannot be set up.
