What is the difference between win32 and win64 programming?

They recommended a book on assembler. It deals with programming under 16-32 bit architectures (dos and win).
Now 64-bit systems are relevant.
Is it worth learning low-level programming from that book? Or look for something newer?
And what can you advise?
PS. The book is called "Assembly Language for Intel Processors".
P.S.S. I am not going to seriously engage in low-level programming. I want to study for general development, to understand how everything works at a lower level

Basically nothing. So feel free to study according to the book that was advised, and then study the features of x64 using other material.

Learning assembler and delving into the intricacies of programming under x16, x32 and x64, DOS and Windows is not a general development. This is serious work.
If you have this question and have free time - study. But without a real task and a serious project, you are unlikely to learn anything serious on your own.
