What is the difference between php drivers for Mongodb?

The PHP site gives two options:
Mongo - MongoDB driver (legacy)
MongoDB - MongoDB driver
I noticed that the first one has work with gridfs
But how are they different?
And which one to use?

The first one is old and will not be supported further. In php7 it no longer works. Use mongodb
