What is the difference between manual unloading of 1C goods and automatically configured one?

Good afternoon. I have a custom that is tied to the exchangeOnUpdateElement and exchangeOnAddElement events ... moving goods to catalogs and creating catalogs if they are not there. When manually uploading through a file, directories are created. But with automatic updating, no - do events differ in some way with different ways of updating information? How can this even be, if there is only one custom function for everything?

An independent directory hierarchy in UMI.CMS and 1C was added on purpose. Most likely, these events are not called during automatic updating and your custom function does not work.
