What is the difference between functional tests and acceptance tests?

I can't understand what are the differences between these 2 types of testing. After all, they are both created to test the final functionality of the product.

Thesis acceptance testing phase is a formal testing process that verifies that the system meets the requirements and is conducted to determine whether the system satisfies the acceptance criteria and to make a decision by the customer or other authorized person whether the application is accepted or not.
The stage of acceptance testing is a demonstration of software functions from developers to the customer. The testers in the development team write a set of tests that, when run, demonstrate the functionality of the software. When the customer arrives for a demonstration, a set of such tests is launched, after which the customer accepts the work or sends it for revision
In the world of web development, there is also an acceptance testing phase. For example, you ordered a simple online store. The testing department after the successful completion of the project writes acceptance tests for the functionality of the site. They might look like this:
As a rule, an acceptance test suite is launched when demonstrating the functionality of the system directly to the customer. It is at this stage that the client decides whether they want to withdraw the work or want to make adjustments
