What is the difference between free and pro for CDN cloudflare.com?

Now I'm studying CDN from cloudflare.com, there are different rates for free and PRO.
Could you explain what is the difference between these rates. If you choose free, a warning appears: If you choose CloudFlare's Free plan, you will experience a 24 hour gap in SSL encryption for your website traffic while you are transferred to a new SSL certificate.
