What is the difference between factories, controllers and services (Zend Framework 2)?

What is the difference between factories, controllers and services? What tasks do they perform?
For example, if I want to save data from a form to a database, where should I do it? If there is a link to an article that reveals this issue, I would very much like to read it, otherwise I didn’t really figure it out from the ones I found.
