What is the current level of programs like After Effects?
So I had an idea to make an interesting video. I understand that special effects are needed to implement the idea, but I am not familiar with the means to create them.
For example, can I make the freeze frame at the beginning of the scene recolor the train, write text on it, or something else; and then the program automatically or with a minimum of my intervention with the right scale and placement copied the color of the train / text / something into the rest of the scene frames, or something like that?
Sorry for the confusion, I just know a little
only Photoshop and imagine how I would do it in it.

It's possible, but not easy.
Modern video editors use the concept of filters. Those. anything you can do by layering and combining filters in photoshop can be done with video. If the structure of the frame allows you to change the color of the train with filters, then you can do it in the video. For example, if the train is green and there is white snow around, you can replace everything green with red, and so on for all frames.
If there are not enough filters, more complex elements are needed. AE has a RotoBrush tool - maybe you can use it. And for example, attach the text to the train using tracking ...
But in general, I can say:
- these are complex technologies, in order to "make it beautiful" you will have to spend months on training. And still there may be things that require manual processing of each frame of the video.
- there is no "objective" concept in video editors. You can't repaint a train and say "do the same". The editor does not analyze objects in the frame, does not understand where one ends and where the other begins. Does not understand that this is the same object that was in another frame, etc. Haven't matured yet.
