What is the correct way to implement a list object application?

Good afternoon!
There was a need to develop an Android application that will contain a list of objects (for example, a list of parts for a car) with the ability to sort and other auxiliary functions. Each object has a photo and description with user comments. In the future, access to some sections of such a directory will need to be restricted depending on the user's access rights. Objects can be added directly from the application. Everything is on-line.
If everything is more or less clear with the interface, then there is no understanding of how to implement information storage.
Can you please tell me how to rationally build such applications? Use SQL or FireBase to store information? After all, storing large volumes directly in the application is clearly wrong.
