What is the correct name for a color modifier in BEM?

Friends, this is not the first time I have encountered such a problem. There is a project with different titles\buttons that change only the color. Accordingly, I applied BEM modifiers to them
============
title
title--blue
title--red
=============
Some time later, half a year later, They ask to change colors everywhere. Where was blue make green. The easiest option is to change the title--blue class in the CSS to set the color to green, but this is wrong. Because then the class is called title--blue and the properties are green. Changing all classes in html with a new color is time consuming. Tell me how to call them correctly initially when developing a project, so that this would not happen in the future. Thanks in advance for all replies)

@arkanroman

I usually use abstract titles: title--bright title--dark title--light
