What is the best way to write a Windows application for a web developer?

Hello!
I was ordered to make a small chat for CRM, and I need an application for a computer so that managers do not sit constantly on the site. The chat itself will work via websocket So far I have settled on nw.js - everything is native and familiar to a web developer, but only the file size scares the output. People write 50-100MB.
Can you recommend something else? Another technology stack?

It is better to write on what you know best.
In general, C# is the best for a desktop application under Windows.

When using the HTML & CSS & JS stack, much smaller than 50-100 MB is impossible in principle, look at how much browsers "weigh", and it's not that much. You can write an application in C #, and make the interface using different "engines", but on good "engines", it will not be much easier, and WebBrowser, which "weighs" nothing, is unlikely to be "native" for you, this is Internet Explorer .

I'm not sure that the information below will be useful, but
Browsers seem to be able to show notifications on the desktop.
You can send messages to the mail or messenger (telegram for example), sms, etc. if there is no long answer.
There is an electron, using a regular web chat, you can add any notifications.
I would not be reworking the chat if it already exists, if the problem is only in notifications,
I would add notifications to the existing chat. If only they are the problem.
