What is the best way to work with Git and GitHub?

I want to know what is the best way to work with Git?
Namely, to use the terminal or to use programs for working with Git?
I want to hear from those who have already tried this and that option and are ready to say what exactly will be better there.

for simple operations, you can get by with GUIs (from free ones: the aforementioned SourceTree, GitHub Desktop , SmartGit ) or built-in editor / IDE tools.
for complex, IMHO, only the console.
