What is the best way to unload an application in case of an “emergency”?

When minimizing the application, you can return to it through the "multitasking mode" (I don't know what it's called exactly), I would like to close the application when trying to minimize it or in any other "extraordinary situations" (for example, a phone call with focus or screen lock
) "extraordinary situations" should be handled in application events?
What do you advise to do to unload the application from memory (remove from the multitasking list) in any emergency situation?

This is a regular situation, and the application should not behave this way (in the sense of starting to kill itself when minimized. This is game.)
