What is the best way to transfer data between client and server? in JSON? Or in XML? Or come up with your own method?

json is more compact in theory. Typically xml is used to store data and json is used to transmit real time data.

The more convenient. I'm for Json - it's easier. And the webDAV protocol disagrees with me, just like SOAP. I don't know why.
