What is the best way to temporarily implement an android set-top box for TV from a laptop?

Hello. I have an old laptop with no screen. Connects easily to TV via HDMI. The goal is to create an android set-top box for TV from it. At least temporarily, and then I’ll order a normal prefix. And I didn’t want this laptop to just lie. I tried KODI on ubuntu, but it didn’t suit me, the YouTube addon on kody is generally shit. In general, I came to the conclusion that I would have to install android on a laptop. Maybe there are some builds specifically for this? On Linux? To at least have a normal YouTube, plus the ability to install applications such as evie, etc.

Of course, I'm not a real welder, that is. I personally haven’t tried further virtual machines, but they say that there are such OS:

https://ru .wikipedia.org/wiki/Remix_OS
maybe some of this will help you.
