What is the best way to sync files?

In my work, I use many programs. The programs are very different - from Word to Visual Studio and Open Server. A bunch of projects and tasks - development, documentation, program sources.
And all this needs to be synchronized for use on different PCs.
PC on the Internet, folder sharing (sharing) is not possible.
Now, to solve this problem, I partially use the cloud (mail ru). There I created a synchronized and non-synchronized folder. The synced folder is synced regularly. Instead of a synchronized folder - it serves as a file archive.
But partial use is not enough.
The question is - is it reasonable / rational to transfer (reconfigure paths, etc.) all frequently used files, folders, applications to a synchronized folder?
Those. for programs that do not require installation, create program files in this folder and place them there. Set visual studio project paths to this folder and subfolders, set up my documents - place this folder there.
Simply put, everything I work with is transferred there.
Or is there a better way?

Raised my git server and, accordingly, I lead each project in it. In addition to synchronization as a bonus, the ability to rollback and view changes, not to mention the convenient undo of edits.

The most "trick": it is a software RAID-1 folder on any internal drive.
Those. real-time database backup can be done.
