What is the best way to put the frontend and backend of the same project on github?

Are there any "rules" or "agreements" on how to put the client and server parts of the same project on github. That is, create one repository and make two front and back directories in it, or create two separate repositories, or create one shared one, and create two and put it in a shared one)) I think the question is stupid, but I just started using github, so sorry )

Stop trying to follow some standards in everything)
It’s definitely worth being interested in them, if they exist. But blindly following any standards just because they exist is meaningless and often harmful.
Spread, in general, as it is more convenient, you do not just use VCS (Git) just for show?
If these are two separate projects communicating via API, there is no problem to move them to two different repositories. If the same developers are working and changes are happening simultaneously here and there, you can put it in one. The choice is yours.
