What is the best way to organize codeigniter mailing lists?

When calling the controller, there is a need to select a sufficiently large number of emails from the database, perhaps 2000-3000, and organize mailing on them. I'm afraid that directly from the codeignieter Email class, it will take a lot of time and load the server well, tell me how best to organize everything in such a situation? I don't think I'm the first person to come across this.
