What is the best way to organize a VPN in this situation?

Friends! Hello!
Please help me to resolve the issue of setting up and organizing a VPN connection between various network devices (PCs, smartphones, laptops, network storages, and so on) in my apartment. The situation in general is as follows:
1. There are two stationary PCs, one laptop (accepts the Internet only via WiFi), two smartphones (on Android), and network storage.
2. It is necessary to somehow implement access to the Internet for all these devices through a VPN server, preferably your own, since there is no trust in third-party services. Renting a server with the subsequent installation of a VPN there, I also think it will not work. Everything should be kept in the apartment.
3. Connection between these devices and the network storage via the Internet is also required. (For example: access from a smartphone while in a city cafe and using WiFi to a network storage located in an apartment.)
4. And one more thing. A scheme is needed to implement backup of an office server to home storage, using a VPN, of course. In the search I found the device www.rutoken.ru/products/all/rutoken-vpn/#advantages
Tell me, is it worth paying attention to such things?
Oh yes, there is also an Asus router with VPN settings, I don’t know if this option really can help ...
I myself tend to think that you need to raise your VPN server ... But there are many questions ... Is it possible to do everything on Windows? And then Linux is not mine ...
I understand that the questions are difficult, but still I ask for authoritative opinions ... Thanks in advance to everyone ...

1) if you want to connect to your vpn from outside, you need an external IP
2) if on windows then look at the OpenVPN server, it rises quite easily, authorization either by login passwords or by certificates (plus a bunch of other options)
3) what model router if N65U then it will be enough for such purposes
4) if you want to make a backup copy from a working server to your PC, you will need to connect the server to your vpn, and give it write access to your storage where the copy will be made (it is better to make a backup with an entire file)

this is certainly cool, but it seems to me that you don’t understand a little what you want to do ... why do you need vpn?
Do you want me to try to guess what you found?
client or server? what settings?
you need: -
a static ip - a constantly
on computer or a piece of hardware that can raise a vpn server - a
little free time (read about openvpn on windows)
- a brain and at least 1 finger on your hand.

points 3 and 4 are not a problem with an existing vpn server

Buy Mikrotik or something similar. Buy a static external IP. Set up Mikrotik VPN.
2) Why go to the Internet through a VPN? Or do you mean connect from an external network and from there go to the Internet? Then routing is everything. From VPN network to Out router interface.
And so I don’t see the point of connecting to the router, so that later I can connect to it via VPN and from there go to the Internet.
3) Connect to the VPN from your smartphone, go in. To do this, connect the route to the internal (home) network.
4) Make a backup wherever you want. Make a VPN connection on the server to your home network and backup directly through the VPN connection as much as you like. While this is silly, home network storage is clearly not for server backups.
For backup, you can use any software, is Google.
Without UNIX you can't do anything, the whole network is based on Unix like systems. Throw Asus in the trash or give it to someone, it is not suitable for these tasks.
