What is the best way to monitor the load for each site on vps?

There are a dozen sites on the server, there are five such servers. What is the best way to organize load monitoring for each site so that you can quickly respond when calls to this site go off scale and overload vps?
I plan to set up all zabbix for this, and if it can be done correctly there, then I will be grateful for the advice / instructions.

A module that collects statistics + any monitoring system that takes data from it (zabbix is easily screwed).
