What is the best way to format this block?

Hi, designers, I’m making a website and design, but I don’t have an idea how best to arrange a block with order information.

It works like this: a person leaves a request, it is sent to the mail of another person, when the latter answers, the middle block changes the timer to a tick and the last block is underlined instead first. The cross on the last one confuses me, I think it can mislead the user and hint about an error, what do you think is the best way to implement such a block? I would be glad to see sites with a similar one, otherwise I googled and did not find it. Thank you!

Your problem is not in the icon (although it also needs to be changed), but in the relationship between the blocks (or rather, in its absence).
