What is the best way to create and use svg sprites in Wordpress?

I am using the SVG Spritemap Manager plugin to create and use Svg sprites. I understand that you can directly call sprites through use, but then you have to load a ready-made sprite with a bunch of extra icons, but I would like to have only those that are needed and used by the site. Therefore, SVG Spritemap Manager is a great solution in principle, but since it was updated 6 years ago, I'm worried about the safety of using this plugin.
So which is better?
