Does it make sense to add the Kubuntu repositories?
apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
или
add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/ppa

I looked at something, what kind of mess is in Kubunt, so something is not burning with the desire to use it "as is". It's easier for me to rebuild myself.

Both repositories make sense:
for packages that are considered relevant to your installation by the Kubuntu community
for adapting more recent Kubuntu packages to your installation
. I don't get it, though, choosing from repositories, if you're frustrated at all by the mess in the ranks of Ubuntu. I switched to Arch Linux for the same reasons and am satisfied. For those who need more stable and combed hair - there is Manjaro. To simplify the first installation - Attergos, NetRunner, Evo/Lution
