What is the best app for reading books, pdf files?
No embedded ads.

I use GoodReader on both iPad and iPhone (only it's too small to read on iPhone).
Understands all the formats I need - you can download from the Internet directly to the cloud, you can go to it in a directory. In general, I have been using it for 2-3 years - I like it. The only thing is it is paid, but its money is worth it.

I also like FileHub as not only a pdf reader, but also work with files in general.

I also like GoodReader. And as for me, the most valuable feature is that when reading, you can cut off the margins, which are quite often wide, the text becomes larger without zooming. I have been using it for 3 years, and I agree with LIAL, an absolutely justified purchase.
