What is the best OS for Android development?

Tell me who is more experienced, is linux for an android developer better in terms of comfort and speed, or stay on Windows? And what distribution if Linux?

If the computer is productive and there is no need for a native emulator, then it doesn’t matter at all.
And so - the native emulator is faster on linux. Distribution - any with which you know how to work.

It cannot be better in terms of comfort and speed, because by and large everything is cross-platform, if it is on Linux, it will be on Windows, moreover, Linux will be less comfortable for you because there is no experience, another thing is that some minor functions, for example, Android NDK, may contain errors on Windows that Google simply did not take into account, because it uses only Linux and OS X, but VPS is enough for such cases.

IMHO, you can work equally productively on both Windows and Linux. Especially if you work independently of others. It will be more productive where you are used to. Switching to Linux just because "all Linux programmers are sitting" does not make sense. It makes sense to switch to Linux if you know how to use it.
