I would say that now for all tasks they rule 1) Backbone + jQuery + react and 2) Ember
And you can’t do without jQuery. Everyone knows it, everyone writes on it. It's easier to find someone who knows it than someone who knows the Native DOM API. Although in a couple of years it may be possible to throw it away.
