What is the analogue of the Keyboard c# class for mono under Linux?

Is there an analogue of the class for checking the state of the keyboard keys? If not, then how to do it correctly on Linux without gui (in fact, it should be used in a daemon). (Perhaps there are better c/c++ solutions)
